HeartWerk and Sydney Lee in their first ever collab, introduce their single “BAD,” a merger of HeartWerk’s signature sound of “moody house music,” and Sydney Lee’s love for a catchy bass-line and “big dumb vocals.”

The stabby synths, the tense builds, and then the release of the heavy bass in the drop is balanced with the juxtaposition of the light and flirty vocals. Listeners will also notice bits of ear candy sprinkled throughout the track, which were fun, quick and intuitive additions meant to keep listeners engaged and surprised while attempting to audibly illustrate a vivid picture of the story.

The result is a belter dedicated for those with a bit of a sense of humor and to the bad b*tches in the club—but despite the lyrics, please don’t actually lose your phone.
